If a company nowadays dared to introduce a computer that exhausts 10
batteries within a few hours of mobile operation, it would undoubtedly be
stormed by Greenpeace activists. But in 1987, the focus was seemingly
different, otherwise this strange machine would have never seen the light
of day. The odd-shaped case of the PPC contains an otherwise unspectacular PC-compatible. Due to the complete lack of expansion slots and an integrated display with low contrast and missing backlight, the computer quickly became obsolete although it may have been state-of-the-art when it was released. In relation to its performance, the PPC512 is extremely huge and heavy. The only highlight of the machine is set by its full AT-layout keyboard. |
